Here are some hopefully helpful photography tips:
Natural light is best, with photos being taken outside or near a window. (No flash please.) Natural light helps your pet’s eyes to have a sparkle-bonus!
Contrast is key. If you have a white or light-colored pet, a photo with a darker background is helpful. If your pet is dark (i.e., black lab), try a few photos with the exposure lowered.
Get eye level with your pet, but not too close! (Things get distorted.)
Speaking of distorted…if you’re wanting a full-body portrait, make sure all limbs, ears, tail, etc. are in the frame.
High resolution photos work best; no need to edit or use filters.
If this a memorial portrait, please email all the photos you love of your pet. (Spam me with photos… the more the better!)
